Under the Parasol

Thanks to funding received from Find Your Talent, we are delighted to be able to remount Under the Parasol - a performed reading of Hue Boy by Rita Phillips Mitchell (30 mins) and associated workshop (1 hour).  The tour encompasses Morley Schools and a couple of free public performances - Harehills Festival, Morley Library and Rothwell Library.


Be transported to a Caribbean village through this heart-warming storytelling performance.  tutti frutti’s most experienced performer Stewart Thomas will bring to life the Smarties prize winning book Hue Boy to children aged 4-7.  

Hue Boy may be the smallest boy in his village but he is big news. 
Pumpkin soup and exercise… just some of the suggestions to make him grow. 

Set in a beautiful environment, the children will be invited to sit in the story telling zone and enjoy this unique interactive experience.

When We Lived in Uncle's Hat

This is a play about… how walls don’t make a house,
And doors don’t make a house.

It’s a play about how a family makes a house. And it doesn’t matter where you live – whether it’s an up house or a down house, or an outhouse or a townhouse – who you live with is the important bit.  

This delightfully illustrated children's book is brought to life on stage by tutti frutti and York Theatre Royal. With live music throughout, the merry band of actor-musicians give it an energy and wondrous beauty that will take you to the house with the blue light, round the brim of uncle's hat and over the moon, all in search of that most magical place - a home.
